For Large hydroelectric dams, nuclear power, high-speed railroad, high-rise building, we need to control the temperature during the concrete pouring of foundation. In the course of concrete stirring, the concrete hydrationreleases heat and enlarges its internal volume, especially under the high-temperature stirring conditions, it willgenerate much more heat. Under low-temperature environment or for future maintenance, due to thermal expansion and contraction, the concrete will get cracked. Therefore the initial concrete pouring temperature should be controlled to reach the limit temperature. It’svery ideal to use ice-water cooling and concrete mixing ice cooling method. Mixture of ice-water cooling refers to add the ice in water tank to lower the temperature of mixing water; Stirring with ice method is directly in the mixing process by adding pieces of ice which can reduce the concrete temperature.
